Background
I grew up on a 160 acre farm in central Minnesota where
my family raised horses and cattle. I have loved horses my
whole life and have been involved in many aspects of the
horse industry including showing, breeding, training, and
now medicine. Growing up, I was always involved in sports.
This has fueled my love for the sport medicine side of veterinary
medicine. I have lived in Minnesota for most of my life except
for five years spent in the military and four years in Ohio
working as a veterinarian. |

Interests
I love every aspect involved in
working with equine athletes, especially solving lameness
issues. Horses are such magnificent animals and the horse
and rider bond is like no other. I truly enjoy helping the
patient stay sound so that they can develop more trust with
the rider. I believe riding a horse in chronic pain reduces
the trust the animal has for the rider. | |

Hobbies
I enjoy many activities including golf,
road biking, camping, following the Minnesota Vikings, and watching
equine athletic events. More recently I have found a love of home
improvement and landscaping projects... I like making things better.
